Abuse & violence in family of origin

I have been gathering various articles and instruments dealing with
adult's reports of abuse and violence in their own families while
growing up. I would be interested if others
have some ideas about other articles I could look at and/or
instruments to use in conducting in-depth qualitatiave interviews
with adult women who have experienced abuse by their partners/spouses
and who may have either been direct victims and/or witnesses of abuse and
violence in their homes while children.

What questions have people asked to gather this retrospective data in
a qualitative format? I have found several more quantitative
instruments, but want to look more broadly than "yes/no, abuse
occurred" or "abuse occurred 1-5 times."

Please respond directly and I would be happy to post a summary
later when it's compiled. Thank you.

Anna H.
