I see this as one of the most difficult aspects of the anti corporal
punishment campaign.  The American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines are a
major breakthrough.  The National Association of Social Workers adopted a
policy statement opposing all corporal punishment early on -- probably
fifteen years ago.  I believe the National Association of School
Psychologists also has a statement.  Alex Haeuser
