Drug testing in Child Protection Cases

Hi,
In response to the question on random drug testing, I would see this as an
effective method of assessment but only on the ability to abstain from
drungs or alcohol...nothing more...nothing less. I am an alcoholic, and I
have been sober & clean for well over 21 years now, the one thing I do know
about the addict & the addicts ability to abstain is that unless that
person becomes totally aware of how serious the problem is...no amount of
testing can prove theri ability to abstain.

I have included a rather lenthy outline of a document that I condensed for
the purpose of informing others of the seriousness of your issue. You can
obtain a full copy from the Department of Health & Community Services in
the Province of New Brunswick, Canada at the following number:
1-506-453-2536. Please take the time to view these documents which are
from the "Child Death Review Committee on the Death of Jacqueline Dawn
Brewer"....who was in Protective Care at the time of her death on December
17,1996.

Sincerely,
Claudia
