Project Manager. National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect. Family Life Development Center. Cornell University. Ithaca, NY.

We are looking for an outstanding person to join our team at Cornell University. This is a full-time position beginning after 7/1/98. Responsibilities include overall management of the data archive, including operations, personnel, grants management, technical and strategic planning, development, and external relations (and, of course, helping oversee this listserv). Supervise three technical and administrative staff. Requirements: Minimum of a Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a social science or related discipline with course work in statistics. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in data management, data analysis, data documentation and report writing. Experience with secondary data analysis and data archiving preferred. Proven ability to work independently and manage a variety of tasks is essential. Strong computing skills using SAS and/or SPSS and multiple platforms a must. Position includes possibility for publications and conference presentations based on analyses of data sets held by the archive. Initial appointment is for twelve months, with renewal possible depending on availability of funds. Salary competitive.
