I meant to send this to Petrosan re: child mistreatment reference
of a theory-based evaluation, but anyway, here is a reference
for anyone interested:
Mertens, Donna M. (1996).  Breaking the silence about sexual abuse
of deaf youth.  American Annals of the Deaf, 141(5),352-358.
It looks at the various theories that people hold as to why sexual
abuse occurred at a residential school for deaf students and
the implications for prevention based on the theory held.
