Some years ago Barbara Bryant developed an inventory called the
Neighborhood Walk in which researchers walked with a child through their
neighborhood as they talked about safety and support. Bryant's work was
published by the SCRD (Society for Research in Child Development), but I
don't recall whether it was a monograph or an article in Child Development.
