I am a UCLA graduate student looking at young maltreated children's
perceptions of their placement experiences for my dissertation. I have run
into a problem and am requesting help. I need to conduct a power analysis to
determine my sample size. To do this, I am looking for a study using two
groups of maltreated children (children placed in foster care vs. children
placed with relatives) who differ significantly on some type of emotional
construct (e.g. shame, guilt, blame, self-esteem). I then will use the two
sets of means and standard deviations to plug into the power analysis
program which will determine my sample size for my dissertation. I would
appreciate help on locating such a study.
