Subject: Call for Papers

The Field Center for Children's Policy, Practice & Research at the University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce its fourth biennial conference, One Child, Many Hands: A Multidisciplinary Conference on Child Welfare. The Field Center’s Faculty Directors, Richard J. Gelles, PhD, Cindy W. Christian, MD, and Alan M. Lerner, Esq., representing the University of Pennsylvania’s Schools of Social Policy & Practice, Law, and Medicine, look forward to another conference in which promising policy, research, and practice in child welfare is shared with a multidisciplinary audience.

One Child, Many Hands: A Multidisciplinary Conference on Child Welfare is issuing a Call for Papers.  Proposed presentations are solicited which advance the field of child welfare from the perspective of a variety of disciplines. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is serving as lead sponsor of the conference. Scheduled for June 8 - 10, 2011, this national conference will again be held at the Wharton School on Penn's Philadelphia campus.

Proposals need to include a cover sheet, maximum 25 word abstract, and maximum 500 word overview.  Cover sheets and criteria for submission and review are attached. The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2010.
