Re: Incidence of Child Abuse?

Jody,

You might try looking at the Child Maltreatment Reports from the States.
This report is put together by the National Center for Child Abuse and
Neglect. It is not a "perfect" report in that: 1- it contains both
substantiated and unsubtantiated counts on the various types of child
maltreatment by state; 2-some states did not report counts; 3-the counting
methods vary from state to state; and 4-there are some duplicated counts.
However, it is the best set of public data to which I have been able to
obtain access.

I hope this helps.
