Re: LONG TERM STUDIES ON SBS (SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME)
I am currently involved in a study with Dr. Lori Frasier (pediatrics) and
Dr. Ken Bopp (health services management) looking at a cohort of 247
children who experienced abusive head trauma, primarily SBS. We hope to
be published within the next year. Our specific focus is on the health
care costs incurred (inpatient stay, outpatient follow-up, therapies,
foster care costs, etc.) over a ten year period.
