research on the effects of parental abduction

I am looking for some new and/or current research on the effects of
parental abduction on the child. I am a champion or children's rights
and I need the information to present to legislators in Albany, NY and
Washington DC

I currently have several booklets and papers that I use in my
presentation. "The Kid is with a Parent, so how can it be?" by Ernie
Allan, Director of the National Center for Missing and Exploited
Children. "Parental Kidnapping and US Social Policy" by Prof. Rebecca
Heager, Univ. of Maryland at Baltimore. "The Impact on Children of
Abduction by Parents" by Prof. Michael W. Agopian, LaVerne, Cal. '84.
"Child Psychiatry and the Law: Parental Kidnapping" Diane Schethy, MD
and Lee H. Kaller, MD.

My problem is that most of the reports are over ten years old. I also
really need something with statistics. Statistics seem to be the best
way to get the attention of the politician. No joke intended. Statistics
are an effective way to present the scope of the problem in a simple
understandable way.

So my request is for any research about the effects of parental
abduction on the children with the emphasis on statistics.

Thank you,

Bob Rossi
