Second Request for Applications for Doctoral Dissertation Research Support

 

The National Quality Improvement Center on Early Childhood (QIC-EC) is pleased to release a second Request for Applications (RFA) for doctoral dissertation research support. Doctoral students who are eligible for this award are those who have advanced to candidacy and who are conducting research on preventing child maltreatment and promoting child and family well-being among infants and young children (0-5) who are at high-risk for abuse, neglect, and abandonment, including those impacted by substance abuse or HIV/AIDS.

 

The QIC-EC will award $25,000 for each of two years to a maximum of two advanced-level doctoral students. The funding periods are October 1, 2011 - September 30, 2012 and October 1, 2012 - September 30, 2013. Complete application packets are due June 13, 2011.

 

A pre-application webinar for interested doctoral students and graduate faculty is scheduled for Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST. To register for the webinar, CLICK HERE.

 

Questions may be submitted by email to the Project Director at qic-ec@xxxxxxxx prior to the webinar and throughout the application period; answers will be posted on the QIC-EC website.
