Parental perspectives
There have been a number of UK studies on parental perpectives of being
subject to child protection intervention. A good starting point is the
series of studies funded by the Department of Health titled 'Studies in
Child Protection' and published by HMSO (now privatized as the
Stationery Office) in 1995. In particular the studies by June Thoburn on
parental participation and by Hedi Cleaver and Pam Freeman on parental
perspectives.
