Research dilemma
I've recently run into a problem related to a research project I'm working
on--any help would be greatly appreciated.
I work for a large, non-profit child welfare agency in Michigan primarily
involved with foster care services. I am currently working on a research
project examining factors related to children "moving through" the system,
as well as exploring/identifying "success" factors related to timely and
efficient reunification of children with their families. This has involved
the beginning stages of creating a computer database to collect/analyze
information that is collected on our population. This computer database is
being created from "scratch" because the specific factors being analyzed
have been identified from a newly developed service delivery model that the
agency is implementing in the spring.
My dilemma is that I am in need of assistance locating a "computer whiz"
that could help with the database creation. The goal is to create a working
"form" on the computer where a person/worker can easily input information
case-by-case. This information then would be updating the central database.
You get the idea. Anyway, the needs of this project are well beyond my
knowledge in computers. If anyone has any suggestions regarding where to
take my search or people to contact, I would greatly appreciate it. I am at
a loss.
