Re: international child abuse research funding
About 1 month ago I posted a note asking about research funding on the
list. You may recall that I was asking about sources for funding research
in the l;esser developed world. I thought I would share the two responses
I got from the list and try and generate other ideas.
The responses were:
>You may want to try the Carnegie Foundation or Kellogg. Also: the
>David and Lucile Packard Foundation in Los Altos, CA may be interested.
and
"The Health Research Council of NZ has some funds allocated for Pacific
Island nation research, which is very poorly subscribed. This would include
child abuse projects were they to receive reasonable requests, and they are
keen to promote such work.
Contact Bruce Scoggins, Director PO Box 5541 Auckland, fax 0064 9 377 9988
for further info."
Any other thoughts would be welcomed. I don't travel to the meeting in
Malaysia until next month.
