Re: breastfeeding and abuse

At one point , there were a few references in diss. abstracts that looked at
breastfeeding and child abuse. As a lactation consultant, I do receive the
Journal of Human Lactation and didn't see anything that addressed that issue
in the last 5 years. A quick examination of the major breastfeeding texts
also yielded little except descriptions of possible signs of abuse. However,
Le Leche League does publish abstracts and you might search there. I have
also turned to the maternal/child nursing journals for information in the past.
