Re: Query: Intake Alternatives for Child Protective? -Reply

I am a relatively new CPS worker in Australia and the Department of
Family Services for which I work is currently looking at different
intake models. Soon we will be introducing mandatory reporting in
Canberra, Australia, and it seems we will not be gtting much extra in
the way of resources to cover the extra load. Other states have
experienced increases of around 25 - 35% in the number of
notifications once mandatory reporting was introduced. This means
that accurate and safe screening of all notifications is going to be
critical if we are going to be able to cope with the extra workload.

I would be interested in getting information on different intake
models and different screening tools that are currently being used.
You can email me directly at < dburt@pcug.org.au > or develop a
thread on this list. I am sure there are others who would be
interested in different intake models and intake assessments.
