ISSD is a multidisciplinary society with membership composed of
professionals dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of dissociative
disorders.
Symposia, Papers, and Posters: Clinical, research, and theoretical
proposals are invited on all aspects of dissociation, dissociative
disorders, and related topics. Individuals conducting research on
systematic assessment utilizing new diagnostic tools, as well as
clinical outcome studies, are particularly encouraged to submit their
proposals.
Workshops: Proposals for 4-hour, 6-hour (full day), and 1.5 hour
workshops must address critical issues concerning the treatment of
dissociative disorders. Courses must emphasize interactive learning
processes and include the opportunity for informal exchange with the
faculty. At least half of each workshop should be experiential rather
than didactic, devoted to discussion, rule-playing with faculty and/or
participants, experiential techniques, structured exercises, or practice
opportunities.
