Cornell Awarded Federal Contract for NDACAN Cornell University has been awarded a new federal contract to continue operating the National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect (NDACAN ). The sponsor is the Children's Bureau within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS ), Administration for Children and Families (ACF). NDACAN will continue to operate as a project of the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research (BCTR ) in Cornell University's College of Human Ecology. NDACAN is pleased to announce that under the new contract, Associate Professor of Policy Analysis and Management Christopher Wildeman will serve as Co-Director alongside NDACAN Director John Eckenrode . The National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect (NDACAN) promotes secondary analysis of data sets on child maltreatment, child well-being, and adoption/foster care. Researchers may review the on-line listing of NDACAN data sets at www.ndacan.cornell.edu . There is no charge for receiving NDACAN data sets, and NDACAN provides free technical support to facilitate the use of its datasets. NDACAN maintains this Child-Maltreatment-Research-L (CMRL) list serve to promote scholarly exchange and networking in the child maltreatment research community. All past postings to the CMRL list are published in a searchable CMRL postings database on the NDACAN web site.
