Subject:Prevention research - Primary

Hello, I thought it might be helpful to provide some examples. Below are research gaps and needs that have been published in articles regarding primary prevention that Muriel Wells, NCAC Research Librarian has compiled. Are there others? Are there priorities? Research gap: lack of true experimental research on prevention education outcomes. (Finkelhor, 2007). Research gap: lack of research on prevention education with perps (Finkelhor, 2007) Research gap: more research needed on upper elementary and high school programs and the cumulative impact of repeated exposure over time (Topping and Barron, 2009) Research need: Lack of replication of previous studies (Topping and Barron, 2009) Research need: no evidence of differential effectiveness of program components (Topping and Barron, 2009) Research need: studies are needed that examine programs with multiple sessions over longer periods of time (Topping and Barron, 2009) Research need: no studies reported on cost effectiveness (Topping and Barron, 2009) Please respond to my email address. Thank you.
